AI Researcher – Core ML

Job Description

Job Summary:
Together AI is hiring an AI Researcher to develop cutting-edge models and innovations in foundation model research. This role involves designing novel architectures, optimization strategies, and data-centric techniques that surpass current benchmarks. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and the AI community to advance open-source model development, such as FlashAttention, Hyena, FlexGen, and RedPajama.

Responsibilities:

• Research and build new model architectures, optimization algorithms, and LLM techniques

• Push the boundaries of open-source model development and efficiency

• Collaborate across ML systems, NLP/CV, and engineering teams

• Engage with customers to help improve AI applications using Together’s open models

• Contribute to blogs, academic papers, and open-source tools

• Stay current with trends and breakthroughs in ML

Requirements:

• Proven experience building large-scale ML models and systems

• Deep knowledge of optimization, architecture design, or data-centric ML

• Passion for open models and research-driven innovation

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
