Google DeepMind

“Advancing safe and beneficial AI to solve global challenges.”

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Events Manager to join the Events and Experiences team supporting the GenAI Unit at Google DeepMind. In this full-time role, you will plan and deliver internal events that foster connection, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across locations, time zones, and disciplines. You will own the end-to-end management of event programs — from large-scale global gatherings to smaller team activations — ensuring seamless execution, strategic planning, and meaningful impact. Your work will help shape and amplify Google DeepMind’s culture, support the GenAI team’s mission, and create opportunities for teamwork, innovation, and celebration.

About the company:
Google DeepMind is a pioneering AI lab devoted to advancing artificial intelligence safely and ethically, building technologies with global impact, and supporting a diverse, collaborative environment where innovation thrives.

Role expectations:
You will develop and manage the full suite of GenAI Unit event programs, ranging from large-scale global events to intimate team gatherings. You’ll respond quickly to stakeholder briefs, plan and execute events at scale (2500+ attendees) as well as smaller group activations. You will create detailed timelines, budgets, and project plans; coordinate with internal teams and external vendors; manage contracts and logistics; ensure regulatory, health, and safety compliance; and track event performance metrics to guide future planning. The role involves occasional domestic and international travel and requires flexibility to meet the needs of a global team.

Requirements:
You bring at least 8 years of experience in events leadership, with a proven track record managing both large-scale and small-scale events through all phases — planning, execution, and post-event evaluation. You have exceptional project management skills, attention to detail, and an ability to handle high complexity with shifting priorities. You are comfortable leading multiple events concurrently, working under tight deadlines, and adapting in a fast-paced environment. Excellent relationship-building skills, cross-functional collaboration, and strong communication are essential. Familiarity with technology or AI-driven organizations is a plus. You must be able to work from the Mountain View office at least three days per week and be flexible for both domestic and international travel on short notice.
