The Role:
As an AI Model Engineer on the Model Platform team, you’ll advance Heidi’s foundational models, applying deep technical expertise to fine-tune, run experiments, and systematically improve LLM performance, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Run end-to-end fine-tuning cycles (data curation, setup, analysis, reporting).

• Partner with product, medical knowledge, and design teams to build agentic AI, automate prompts, and create evaluation frameworks.

• Implement advanced techniques (SFT, RLFT, state-of-the-art algorithms).

• Conduct deep model analysis to identify and solve failure modes.

• Contribute to core infrastructure to increase research velocity.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience training and fine-tuning large-scale LLMs.

• Proven experience shipping AI/LLM features to production.

• Strong programming skills (Python) and deep expertise in PyTorch/TensorFlow.

• Strong ML intuition, debugging skills, and statistics background.
